Riley Green’s latest single Worst Way just got a music video as wild as the song itself—and Taillight was at the helm of bringing its passionate, chaotic energy to life. Directed by Shane Drake, the video delivers an electrifying mix of romance, destruction, and humor, pushing boundaries in the best way possible.
A Vision Fueled by Fire and Emotion
From the start, this video had one mission: to be so hot and so sexy that it might not even air. “The marching orders were kinda set from the beginning,” Drake recalls. “We wanted this to be the steamiest thing Riley’s ever done. But we also knew it needed a layer of humor to make it fun, not just in-your-face sexy.”
Initially, the video had an entirely different concept, but it didn’t quite find its legs. A month later, Riley himself sent over a fresh take: a night of passion that turns into full-blown destruction. “He pitched this idea—what if we’re at dinner, and instead of eating, we just start making out and destroy the house?” Drake explains. “Then maybe we go to a restaurant, skip the meal, and go at it on the table. And then, a kitchen scene like that Bull Durham moment, where they just can’t keep their hands off each other.”
Drake took those ideas and added his signature touch, crafting a balance of raw passion, cinematic destruction, and unexpected comedy.
Bringing Controlled Chaos to the Screen
Filming Worst Way was all about orchestrating beautifully chaotic moments. One key element? Food—used in hilarious and messy ways.

“I thought it’d be funny if she’s setting this perfect, elegant dinner table with this big salad, and then they go crashing over it, sending lettuce flying everywhere,” Drake says. “Then at the restaurant, instead of eating, the girl just grabs a steak, takes a massive bite, and tosses it aside.”
And for the kitchen scene, Drake went full Bull Durham. “If we’re gonna do an homage, let’s do it right,” he says. “We put Riley in the proper wardrobe, had him eating cereal just like Kevin Costner—then in the heat of the moment, he tosses the bowl into the sink, and milk explodes all over the window. That was totally unplanned, but it was perfect.”
The Fun Is in the Details
Beyond the fiery romance, the video has subtle comedic touches that make it even more entertaining. One of Drake’s favorite moments? The hallway sequence.
“As they’re crashing into walls, I wanted to add these ridiculous photos in the background,” he says. “First, there’s a grandpa giving a thumbs-up. Then, a dog looking totally embarrassed. And finally, a skydiver, which unfortunately didn’t make the final cut, but you can still see it crash to the floor.”
Even the destruction was carefully planned. “At one point, Riley literally busts through a wall. We built that wall to match the house perfectly, so it looks like he’s wrecking the real thing.”

The Final Product: A Music Video That Sends Shockwaves
As Worst Way racks up views, the fan reactions say it all. “The comments on YouTube are hilarious,” Drake laughs. “Just go read them—you’ll be entertained for a solid ten or fifteen minutes.”
With its perfect blend of passion, humor, and sheer destruction, Worst Way stands out as one of Riley Green’s most memorable videos. And for Taillight and Shane Drake, it’s another testament to pushing creative boundaries in the best way possible.
